Short Bio/History
Gabrielle was born in Poteidaia, to Hecuba and Herodotus. She also had a sister, Lila. She grew up in the small village, but when she was betrothed to dull Perdicus, in her words, she left, when Xena entered her village. Xena was in search of good deeds to perform. So Gabrielle, who Xena unwillingly didn't want around, followed her, and followed her, and followed her. Gabrielle was very nieve, at first. Always getting into trouble. Xena taught her that by holding a sword you become a target, and when you make the first kill, everything changes, everything. So Gabrielle swore to live by her own code, not to kill.

During their travels Gabrielle went to the Amazon's village, where she got the right of caste, from Terries, just before she died. Gabrielle began her training with the Amazon's and made friends with an annoyed, Ephiny, who at first hated her, but they soon became good friends. Thus she claimed her weapon, the Amazon Staff.

Gabrielle soon met up with Perdicus again, and though they shared a kiss, they didn't take it a step further. Perdicus was hurt by all the violence in his life. He was no longer the dull man she knew in Poteidaia. They parted once more.

Gabrielle then met up again, with Perdicus, this time, she married him, after he proposed to her. Callisto, broke lose from her prison, and killed Perdicus, this caused Gabrielle to get angered, and attempt to kill her, testing her code, of non violence. But her goodness won over all, and she learned to live with her loss. Joxer has been chasing her for sometime, yet he doesn't get much of a chance with her. Poor thing

Gabrielle and Xena then travelled to Britannia, where they took on Caesar. This resulted in Xena getting to distracted, and obssessed with killing him. So Obssessed, that Gabrielle accidently took a life. This shattered her. After this it brought on a new life. Gabrielle gave birth to a baby girl, Hope, who was planted inside her after she killed a sacrifice in the temple of the one-god, Dahak. Gabrielle set Hope adrift down a river, and lied to Xena about killing her. Hope returned, and killed Solan, Xena's son. This made Xena and Gabrielle split apart, causing the famous rift. Gabrielle poisoned Hope.

Hope returned though, and in Gabrielle efforts to save Xena's life. (Ares had a favour to ask in from the Debt, so he chose to take Xena's life if she killed Hope) she pushed Hope and herself into a lavapit. Though she survived it her life had changed forever. The fustration of not knowing if it is right to kill, if it has to be done, or if it is just not good at all. These questions rang through Gabrielle's ears, and that is what she has been searched for, and still is questioning today.
